Getting started
Build your first plan in about a minute, with or without an account. Picking a chassis, choosing a goal level, setting a budget, and what to do with the result.
Build a plan without an account
Go to the planner, pick a chassis, choose a goal level and set a budget. That is it - you get the full plan immediately, every phase, every part and every price. Nothing is held back, and you do not need to sign up.
Your in-progress build is kept in your browser's local storage, so reloading the page will not lose it. It never leaves your browser until you save it to an account.
Create an account to save builds
Sign up with an email address and a password. You will get a verification email - click the link in it and the account is active. The Free tier saves two builds; Pro saves unlimited.
Pick the right goal level
- Seat time - cheap and reliable. Phases 0 and 1 plus the alignment. A complete, legitimate build. - Street and local events - adds phase 2: angle, front grip, a hydraulic handbrake and cooling that keeps up. - Competition - adds phases 3 and 4: power with the drivetrain to support it, safety equipment to a rulebook, and a spares kit.
You can change it at any time and the plan recalculates.
Customise the plan
Every slot shows a recommended pick and its alternatives with honest pros and cons. You can swap the pick, add your own part at your own price, or mark a slot as something you already own - owned items stay in the plan so the order still reads correctly, but cost nothing in the total.
Read the warnings
The warnings under each slot are evaluated against the contents of your build, not against your chassis. They change as you change the plan. Each one carries a confidence level and a suggested fix.
Questions
Do I need an account to use the planner?
No. The full plan is free with no account. You need one only to save builds, and the Free tier saves two.
Will I lose my build if I close the tab?
No - an in-progress build is kept in your browser’s local storage. Clearing site data clears it, and saving it to an account is the only way to get it on another device.
