Billing, trials and cancelling

Plans, the 14-day trial, changing or cancelling, invoices and failed payments.

The plans

- Free - $0 forever. Unlimited plans, two saved builds, every phase and price, core warnings, share and fork, basic pre-event checklist, all five free tools. - Pro - $5 a month or $49 a year (two months free). Unlimited builds, full rule set, spend log, price-drop alerts, per-event consumables tracking, printable build sheet and checklist, CSV export, private builds, build comparison. - Shop - $19 a month or $190 a year. Everything in Pro plus 25 customer builds, three seats, shop branding on shared builds, and sendable quotes.

The trial

14 days of Pro, no card required. It ends by itself and does not charge you. There is nothing to cancel.

Starting a subscription

From the billing page in your account. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe - we never see or store your card details.

Changing plans

Upgrade or downgrade from the billing page. Changes are prorated, so you pay or are credited the difference for the remainder of the period rather than starting again.

Cancelling

From the billing page, which opens the Stripe customer portal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account drops to Free. Your builds are not deleted - anything over the two-build Free limit becomes read-only, and you can export everything at any time.

Invoices and receipts

Emailed automatically when a payment succeeds, and available in the Stripe customer portal from the billing page.

Failed payments

We email you, and Stripe retries. If it keeps failing, the account drops to Free rather than being deleted. Update your card in the customer portal and it resumes.

Refunds

Within 30 days of a charge, email support@buildsideways.com and we refund in full without asking why. The full policy is on the refund page.
