Drift budget calculator
What does your money actually reach? Pick a chassis and a goal, set a number, and see which phase you get to - plus what a season of running it costs on top.
Questions
What budget do I need to start drifting?
Published breakdowns put a whole first build at roughly $4,500 to $11,500 including the car and basic safety gear, with modifications alone at $3,000 to $10,000. But the useful answer is which phase your particular number reaches, which is what this tool tells you - and reaching phase 1 properly beats a half-finished phase 2.
Does this include the car?
No. The tool is parts only, and it shows the used price range for the chassis separately so you can see the whole picture. Consumables for a season are shown separately too, because they are recurring.
What if my budget only reaches phase 1?
Then build phase 1 properly and go drifting. A car that slides reliably plus a season of seat time will make you faster than a part-built phase 2, and seat time is the cheapest item on any of these lists.
