Contact

A real person reads these. If you have found something wrong in the catalogue, that is the most useful message you can send.

So we can reply. Nothing else.

If it is a data correction, a link to a source helps more than anything.

Or email support@buildsideways.com

Before you write

Found a wrong price? Prices in the catalogue are market ranges with the date we checked them, so a part that has moved since is expected rather than a bug - but if a range is simply wrong, tell us and we will re-check it and update the date.

Found a wrong fitment claim? This is the one we most want to hear about. Tell us the chassis, the part and what actually happened, and we will either correct it or downgrade its confidence level.

Want a chassis added? Say which one and what you are running. Adding a chassis means writing its weak points, buying checklist, offset window and per-slot notes to the same standard as the rest, so it is not instant - but demand is how we choose the order.

Retailer or manufacturer? We are happy to talk about affiliate programmes. We are not going to sell placement, so please do not ask.

The help centre covers accounts, billing and the planner, the FAQ covers the common questions, and the privacy policy says exactly what we store.

What happens to your message

It becomes a support ticket in our database and an email to support@buildsideways.com. One person reads them, and you will get a reply to the address you gave. We keep your name, email and message so we can reply and so we can find it again if the same problem comes up for someone else - nothing else, and tickets are deleted after two years or sooner if you ask.

How long we take

We are not going to promise a response time we cannot keep. In practice: data corrections and fitment reports get looked at first, billing problems next, feature requests last. If something is actually broken, say so in the first line and it goes to the front.

Accessibility reports go ahead of feature work, not behind it. If something on this site is hard or impossible to use, tell us what you were trying to do, what happened and what you are using, and we will reply with what we are going to do about it - including if the answer is that we cannot fix it quickly, in which case we will give you another way to get what you needed.

What we cannot help with

Parts you bought from a retailer. We do not sell parts, hold stock, take orders or handle returns. If something you bought through one of our links does not fit or does not work, that is between you and the retailer under their returns policy - but tell us anyway, because if the plan sent you to the wrong part we want to correct the catalogue.

Specific tuning numbers for your car. We will tell you that drift setups want significant negative front camber and a lot of caster, and why. We will not tell you a camber figure for your car, because that depends on your spring rates, your tires and your surface, and anyone who answers without asking those is guessing.

Whether your build is safe. We are a planning tool. Your event organiser's rulebook is the authority on safety equipment, and competent installation is on you or your shop.
